Our Fall Wedding

It has officially been a year since DJ and I had our wedding and I thought I would take the opportunity to reminisce on our special day while sharing the gorgeous pictures and details.

DJ and I got engaged in January of 2020 and had planned on getting married in September later that year. We had our venue booked and save-the-dates ordered when the pandemic hit and we both lost our jobs. We realized financially we would never be able to wed in the timeline we had initially hoped for and decided to push back the event.

Not wanting to rush the wedding planning, but also wanting to be married already, DJ and I ended up eloping surrounded by some of our closest family and friends on the Canal Walk in downtown Indianapolis. This allowed us to be married, while still planning our official wedding in the future where we would celebrate with so many more loved ones.

Like all wedding planning adventures, there were a few snags in the road, but we finally settled on a date (after having to change it four times due to outstanding circumstances) with a beautiful venue that felt perfect for us– September 24th at New Journey Farms in Lafayette, Indiana.

It was a beautiful day surrounded by so many of our loved ones and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.
