Stuckey Farm has been my family’s go-to farm for years. In fact, it wasn’t until late high school I learned that it’s not a common household name in Indiana. With an apple orchard that includes 35 varieties of apples on over 4,000 trees, a corn maze, and a 15-acre pumpkin patch, Stuckey’s is the perfect place for fall. In fact, they kick off the season with their annual Sunflower Festival, featuring seven acres of sunflower fields, with a variety of sunflowers to take a pic and pick to take home.
After picking sunflowers, you can stop and order fresh apple cider donuts, along with an apple cider slushy, and let the kiddos play at “Adventure Acres,” the farm’s playground, featuring a 60 foot slide! Unfortunately for us, they were all out of apple cider, meaning no slushies. But we were still able to snag a dozen donuts to bring home!
To end the trip at Stuckey’s, we walked through their Country Market, which features tons of homemade foods and tons of fall decorations. Jams, jellies, honey, maple syrup, noodles, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables to bring home and enjoy as you please lined the shelves of this quaint shop.
It was a beautiful day to spend on such a beautiful farm, and we didn’t experience half of what Stuckey’s has to offer. I look forward to another year at Stuckey’s and to the rest of the fall season.
